In 1994 I was saddened to see that many of my favorite Seattle places were vanishing, some seemingly overnight. So I set out with my thirty year old Nikkormat camera loaded with black and white film to capture a handful of places that were slated to close, or that might be next for demolition. Hence, Postcards from the Rim was created, and over thirty postcards with a little history of each place. Over the years I have captured the weird, and wonderful of “vanishing Seattle” as much as possible along with a few other cities in and out of Washington State.
